Neon Time Series — original Rolex Daytona artworks in ink and neon colored pencil by Francesca Perona

Francesca Perona

Neon Time Series

Three studies of one watch — a Rolex Daytona held under neon light and ink. Neon Time Series looks at fine watchmaking through the discipline of drawing: precise lines, fluorescent colour, the gesture of hand and eye. Three views of the same dial, each an original work on paper.

Commissioned work for the world's leading maisons lives in the portfolio; the original works here are made for private collection.

Neon Time Series continues Francesca Perona’s ongoing practice of drawing fine watchmaking — ink, gouache and coloured pencil studies of watches, jewellery and the culture of time, shown and collected internationally. Each piece begins as observation: the watch as still life, redrawn until precision becomes gesture. The Watch Portraits gathers this work for acquisition; the wider practice continues at Francesca Perona Studio.
